Maison Sichel is one of the few Bordeaux wine merchant firms to remain under the control of the original founding family, having weathered crises, wars and tough vintages. Still located in the Chartrons on the quay,
in the historical wine district, this giant firm is owned and managed by the brothers with Alain Sichel at the helm.
We spoke with Alain during the 2007 futures campaign to get his perspective.
